PEL at a Glance

PEL is a private sector indigenous E&P company. It was established
in 1994 and in a short period has become an active operator having largest
acreage among thirteen private sector operating companies in Pakistan. It is
exploring on land and deep waters off-shore Pakistan. It is also the first Pakistani E&P
company operating abroad and is currently exploring over three onshore blocks in Morocco.

- Petroleum Exploration (Pvt) Ltd. (PEL), is looking for energetic and performance oriented professionals.
- PEL joins the nation in providing relief efforts for the flood victims
- 3rd quarter Technical Committee Meetings and Operating Committee Meetings of Mirpur Mathelo, Salam, Kandra, Badin IV North and Badin IV South were conducted during August 3 to August 5, 2010. 3rd quarter Technical Committee Meeting and Operating Committee Meeting of Block-22 was conducted on August 2, 2010.
Operating Committee Meetings were concluded with approval of program and recommendation of Technical Committee Meetings.
- A new dip line of 10 Km length 2-D seismic data was acquired and based on revised Hasan map another development well, Hasan-4, is planned to be drilled in 4th quarter of 2010 to increase gas production from Hasan field.
- The data has been processed and interpreted. Preliminary results indicate promising drillable structures. While some geological work on the leads is being done for possible drillable structures, PEL would welcome farming-in by serious E&P companies before drilling in this block.
- In July 2009 PEL completed acquisition of 139 Km2 of 3D seismic survey which was processed and interpreted by CGG Veritas. A number of leads have been mapped. Further work is in progress for evaluation of the leads for drilling. PEL will soon opt for Phase-II with a drilling program. PEL is open to farming by serious E&P companies before the start of drilling in Morocco blocks.
