 Incorporated in June 1994 under the Companies Act, Petroleum Exploration (Private) Limited {PEL} is head quartered at Islamabad, Pakistan. PEL charter fulfills GOP’s strategic policy objectives of creating indigenous corporate entities in the private sector for exploration and production of hydrocarbon deposits.
Under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Zaheeruddin, Chairman and CEO, PEL has embarked upon a very aggressive exploration program to rapidly search new deposits of hydrocarbons and undertake its development on fast track basis.
At the policy horizon, Mr. Zaheeruddin is assisted by three directors; Mr. Moeenuddin, Mr. Zafar Iqbal and Mr. Shahzad Zaheer. Mr. Moeenuddin has expertise in commercial and marketing while Mr. Zafar Iqbal is an organizations and HR expert. Mr. Shahzad Zaheer is an MBA in Finance & Marketing. He has expertise in corporate financing and is responsible for dealing with international as well as national financial institutions.
A cluster of three Senior Executive Vice Presidents ensure implementation of PEL’s strategic policies in the areas of business development, international relations and power sector. Financial control and management is the responsibility of a general manager who reports to the Chairman & CEO.
A group of high profile qualified professionals is responsible for all technical functions which entail generating oil/gas prospects, oil/gas test, appraisal and development drilling, well completions and reservoir management, operations of oil/gas facilities, appraisal and development projects’ construction and corporate affairs and HSE tasks.
